Built by a finance leader who ran the month-end close for 20 years — and decided the cycle had to end.

Storm Finance exists to make the real-time, zero-touch finance function the standard for every business — eliminating the gap between financial reality and business decision-making.
Financial reports arrive a week or more late. Decisions get made on estimates. The close cycle has cost businesses more than time — it has cost them accuracy.
The intelligence to fix this has existed for years. What was missing was someone willing to apply it — precisely, completely — to the finance function itself.
So the standard changes. Every workflow that used to require a team of people and a week or more of effort now runs autonomously, in the background, every day.

Every month, the same cycle. Vendor bills chased. Bank statements matched by hand. Accruals estimated under pressure. And a P&L landing on leadership's desk at 7.5 days — accurate, and completely useless.
Sriram Palepu lived this across 20 years and five organisations. Same problem, every time.
The accounting systems were never the issue — they do exactly what they are built to do. The gap was the layer in between: every step from raw transaction to finished financial statement, still performed by hand, by people who had better things to do.
So Sriram built the layer that was missing. Storm Finance — co-founded with Bhaskar Jain — owns that process entirely. Reconciliation, accruals, close, reporting. End to end. No handoffs. No waiting.
"I spent 20 years waiting for month-end reports that were always a week or more too late. I built Storm Finance because I knew exactly what was broken — and I knew it could be fixed."
— Sriram Palepu
Founder, Storm Finance | Ex-CFO, Mercer Mettl | Ex-McKinsey
A CFO who ran the close. A product leader who built the platforms. Two founders, one problem, one company.
Not built in a boardroom — built from twenty years of living it. They knew exactly what was broken. So they fixed it.

Storm Finance was not built to add another tool to the finance stack. It was built to change the standard — for what a finance function can look like when the manual work is removed. That conviction shapes everything: how we approach the product, how we think about accuracy, and how we treat the data every CFO trusts us with.
Every decision — product, design, or otherwise — starts from what a CFO or finance controller actually experiences. Not from what is easiest to build.
In finance, a wrong number is worse than a slow one. We hold ourselves and the product to the same standard we ask of the businesses we serve.
CFOs hand us their most sensitive data. That trust is not taken lightly. It is the reason every architecture and policy decision at Storm Finance starts with the question: what would a CFO expect?
Cloud-based systems are live in minutes. Complex or on-premise setups get a dedicated onboarding session. Either way — the close cycle ends here.
No. Storm Finance works as an intelligence layer on top of your existing accounting software or ERP. Nothing in your current setup changes. Your team continues working the way they always have. Storm Finance runs alongside it, automating the workflows that currently require manual effort.
For cloud-based systems, setup is self-serve and typically takes less than a session. You connect via API, no technical team required. For complex or on-premise setups, our onboarding team runs a guided configuration session. Most environments are fully configured and running within a week.
Storm Finance integrates with a range of accounting software and ERP platforms — cloud-based and on-premise. We also ingest data from bank statements, payment feeds, and receivables and payables documents directly. The integration list is expanding — if you would like to confirm whether your system is supported, get in touch and we will let you know.
Your data stays fully isolated within your own environment. It is never pooled with or compared against another customer's data, and it is never used to train Storm Finance's AI models. Your financial data improves only your own intelligence — not ours, and not anyone else's. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications are currently in progress.
Storm Finance automates the operational layer of finance — AR and AP reconciliation, accrual posting, month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and board pack generation. What still requires your team is the strategic layer — interpreting the numbers, making decisions, and acting on the intelligence the platform surfaces. The goal is not to remove your finance function. It is to remove the manual work that currently prevents your finance function from operating strategically.
All customers have access to ongoing support through our team. Customers on complex or on-premise setups are assigned a dedicated onboarding specialist who remains available through the initial configuration period and beyond. For cloud-based users on self-serve plans, support is available via chat and email. Enterprise plans include SLA-backed support with committed response times. If your needs change as you scale, your plan can be adjusted accordingly.
Storm Finance is designed to scale with businesses at various stages of growth. Whether you are a lean, growing enterprise or a larger organization, the platform provides flexible infrastructure to streamline your financial operations without requiring heavy custom IT investments.
